Channel Account Manager
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Channel Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on driving the sales of Absolute Security solutions through National Solution Providers (NSPs) and Value-Added Resellers (VARs).
- Sales Coordination: Facilitate and coordinate sales efforts between Absolute Partner sales teams to achieve assigned sales goals and growth targets
- Pre-Sales Support: Provide pre-sales assistance Partner account managers via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring prompt responses to sales inquiries and requests
- Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with Partners’ inside and field sales organizations to evangelize Absolute Security solutions
- Sales Optimization: Assist Partners in optimizing sales closure, especially during end-of-quarter activities
- Go-to-Market Strategies: Plan and execute go-to-market strategies, including but not limited to:
- Management Meetings
- Sales Trainings
- Floor Days
- Team Huddles
- Planning Meetings
- Quarterly Business Reviews
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in the PC Resell market
- Channel Program Management: Achieve channel sales and revenue goals by ensuring that all channel programs are operating efficiently and maximizing their effectiveness
- Partner Enablement: Train and enable channel partners to achieve high performance by creating and driving enablement activities
- Reporting: Prepare and communicate weekly, monthly partner status reports, including pipeline reports and sales engagement status updates
- Program Improvement: Continuously drive program improvements based on field input and industry knowledge
- Price List Management: Maintain and update Absolute’s Master Price Lists for Partners, ensuring part numbers and transfer costs are current
- Resource Management: Collaborate closely with NSP/VAR distribution resources to ensure Absolute SKUs remain active and accessible
- Travel: North America travel required (approx. 35%)
- Protect the security and privacy of Absolute and its customers
- Project Management: Ability to manage and execute projects based on the evolving needs of Absolute Software’s business
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in PC business, with strong preference with NSP (SHI, Insight) background and a strong background in channel management
- Independence & Collaboration: Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally to meet company and departmental objectives
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with the capability to manage multiple initiatives with partners effectively
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to discuss technical software capabilities and features at a functional and architectural level (programming knowledge not required)
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze situations, make creative decisions, and solve problems to achieve results
- Teamwork: Ability to excel in a collaborative environment that emphasizes cooperation and mutual respect
- Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to various audiences, build strong relationships, and negotiate effectively
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and follow-through are essential
- OEM Experience: Previous experience working with PC OEMs like Dell, Lenovo, HP is a significant advantage
